The bearing is important device that performs the bridge's seismic functions smoothly and extends its life. It is located at a contact point of superstructure and substructure, thus transfers load substructure to superstructure.







The spherical bearing can support horizontal loads due to larger seismic structure than the oilless bearing and have a good rotation performance applied to the longitudinal slope bridge with a large displacement. In addition, it can limit excessive deformations, but also secure sufficient bearing area and the following features are added, considering durability, stability, economical efficient and bridge retention function.



It prevents a crack of bridge and classifies as 4 forms, as maintains movable space to transverse and longitudinal direction. It classifies horizontal loads as 3 grades considering seismic force and has high stability, economical efficient because of no need to bridge retention and up-lift resistance equipment.

It is a function of upper plate that accepts the bridge of rotation. The deformation is limited to both direction (transverse and longitudinal).

It is a function of upper plate that accepts the bridge of rotation. The deformation is limited to longitudinal direction but is able to deform to transverse direction.

One Longitudinal Direction

It is a function of upper plate that accepts the bridge of rotation. The deformation is limited to transverse direction but is able to deform to longitudinal direction.

In case of continuous bridge, the shock and noise is happened by trains' pass. To minimize these problems, the rubber pad is inserted in the lower plate.
